Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ultrawider browser extension and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Akimov Pavel Andreevich, a self-employed individual registered in the Russian Federation (INN 482424418541), Lipetsk ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Ultrawider is a Chrome browser extension that transforms standard 16:9 video content into ultrawide 21:9 (and 24:9 / 32:9) aspect ratios using a content-aware S-curve warping algorithm ("Smoothie"). The core Smoothie feature on YouTube is provided free of charge through the Chrome Web Store and will remain free.
Extended functionality (referred to as "Pro features" or simply "Pro") unlocks Smoothie on additional supported sites (Twitch, Vimeo, Kick, and others). Pro is delivered in exchange for a Pro subscription or one-time purchase as described in Section 5 below.
We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice of material changes that adversely affect Pro subscribers.
2. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to purchase a Pro subscription or licence. By purchasing, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Your Pro licence is tied to the email address provided at purchase time. You are responsible for keeping your licence key confidential and for any use of the Service under your licence.
3. Licence
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The Pro licence is valid for the plan you chose at checkout — monthly or yearly (renewing automatically until cancelled), or lifetime (indefinitely).
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except as expressly permitted by mandatory law;
- resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or the licence key;
- use the Service to circumvent digital rights management or other access controls;
- use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party.
4. Payment
Ultrawider Pro is offered as a recurring subscription — monthly or yearly — and as a one-time lifetime licence. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel; the lifetime licence is a single payment with no renewal. Current prices for each plan are displayed at checkout and may change for future billing periods or new customers; a price change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice before changing a recurring price.
Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time — self-serve at ultrawider.net/cancel, or by emailing hello@ultrawider.net. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current period — see Section 5 and our Support Policy.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by
card or PayPal through Lava.top,
our payment provider and merchant of record. We do not receive or
store full card, PayPal, or banking details. By paying you also
agree to Lava.top's terms and privacy practices in addition to these
Terms. Your card or PayPal statement will show a LAVA.TOP
entry.
5. Refunds and Cancellation
Ultrawider Pro is a genuine paid product — a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time — self-serve at ultrawider.net/cancel (or by email), as described in Section 4; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled under our Support Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, we issue goodwill refunds — at our sole discretion — in cases such as a licence key that never arrived, a double-charge, or a technical defect we cannot resolve within a reasonable time, and we honour any refund or withdrawal right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits any non-waivable statutory consumer right you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
6. Licence Delivery
After Lava.top confirms your payment, your Pro licence key and activation instructions are delivered to the email address you provided at checkout — typically within 5–20 minutes. If you do not receive the email within 30 minutes (please check spam folders), contact hello@ultrawider.net.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's policies in addition to these Terms. The Service operates on top of YouTube, a third-party platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube, and they may at any time make changes that affect compatibility.
8. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content, are and remain the property of Akimov Pavel Andreevich or his licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right in our trademarks or brand assets.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that it will work on every video, monitor, or YouTube layout.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we, our affiliates, or our suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would be unlawful or impractical. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. For material changes that affect paying users we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance (for example, by email or via the extension). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the user's country of residence to the extent that mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country apply. Where no such mandatory law applies, the laws of the Russian Federation apply. The parties will resolve disputes in good faith and, failing that, before a court of competent jurisdiction.
