Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ultrawider browser extension and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Ultrawider ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Ultrawider is a browser extension that re-renders standard 16:9 video content into 21:9 or wider aspect ratios using a content-aware S-curve warping technique. Some functionality is available free of charge; some functionality (collectively, "Pro features") requires a paid subscription or one-time license.

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice of material changes that adversely affect paying users.

2. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to purchase a paid plan. By purchasing, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

Some paid features require an account tied to an email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

4. Subscriptions, Billing and Auto-Renewal

Paid plans are offered on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annual) or as a one-time lifetime license. Prices are displayed at checkout and may change with notice; price changes do not affect the remaining period of an already-purchased term.

Auto-renewal. Recurring subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing hello@ultrawider.net. After cancellation you retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider NOWPayments. We do not receive or store full card or banking details. By submitting payment you agree to the terms and privacy practices of the relevant payment provider in addition to these Terms.

5. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first billing period of any paid plan and on lifetime licenses. Full details, including how to request a refund, are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory right of withdrawal you may have as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

6. DRM-Protected Content

The Service does not, and will not, attempt to decrypt, copy, or otherwise bypass digital rights management ("DRM"). For DRM-protected streams (for example Netflix or Disney+), the Service operates as a cosmetic CSS-level resize only. We make no warranty that the Service will work, or continue to work, on any specific third-party platform.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's policies in addition to these Terms. The Service operates on top of third-party video platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo, etc.). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those platforms, and they may at any time make changes that affect compatibility.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content (excluding third-party video content displayed through the Service), are and remain the property of Ultrawider or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right in our trademarks or brand assets.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that it will work on every video, monitor, or third-party platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Ultrawider, its affiliates, or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would be unlawful or impractical. On termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. For material changes that affect paying users we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance (for example, by email or via the extension). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the user's country of residence to the extent that mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country apply. Where no such mandatory law applies, the parties will resolve disputes in good faith and, failing that, before a court of competent jurisdiction.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@ultrawider.net.
