Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ultrawider browser extension and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Akimov Pavel Andreevich, a self-employed individual registered in the Russian Federation (INN 482424418541), Lipetsk ("we", "us", "our"). By installing, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Ultrawider is a Chrome browser extension that transforms standard 16:9 video content into ultrawide 21:9 (and 24:9 / 32:9) aspect ratios using a content-aware S-curve warping algorithm ("Smoothie"). The core Smoothie feature on YouTube is provided free of charge through the Chrome Web Store and will remain free.
Extended functionality (referred to as "Pro features" or simply "Pro") unlocks Smoothie on additional supported sites (Twitch, Vimeo, Kick, and others). Pro is delivered as a thank-you perk in exchange for a sponsorship contribution as described in Section 5 below.
We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice of material changes that adversely affect Pro contributors.
2. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to make a sponsorship contribution. By contributing, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
Your Pro licence is tied to the email address provided at contribution time. You are responsible for keeping your licence key confidential and for any use of the Service under your licence.
3. Licence
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the Service on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The Pro licence is valid for the period associated with the sponsorship tier you chose at checkout (one month, three months, twelve months, or for lifetime tiers, indefinitely).
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except as expressly permitted by mandatory law;
- resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or the licence key;
- use the Service to circumvent digital rights management or other access controls;
- use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party.
4. Payment
Sponsorship contributions are one-time, non-recurring payments. There is no automatic renewal. The current contribution amounts for each tier are displayed at checkout. Tier amounts for new contributors may change in the future; changes do not affect a licence that has already been issued.
Payment processing. Contributions are priced in
Telegram Stars (our internal pricing unit) and processed via card
through Tazapay (Singapore payment gateway) and
Joytify (Telegram Stars vendor). We do not receive
or store full card or banking details. By submitting your card you
agree to the terms and privacy practices of Tazapay and Joytify in
addition to these Terms. Your bank statement will reflect a
TAZAPAY or JOYTIFY entry. You pay by
card; you do not need a Telegram account.
5. Nature of the Contribution
By making a sponsorship contribution to Ultrawider, you make a voluntary contribution to support the development of this independent project. The Pro licence key we issue to you is delivered as a thank-you perk for that support and not as a contractual product purchase. This is the same model used by Patreon, GitHub Sponsors, Buy Me a Coffee, Twitch Subscriptions and similar creator-sponsorship platforms.
Accordingly, contributions are non-refundable as a matter of right, except (a) where required by mandatory consumer- protection law in your jurisdiction, or (b) where we, at our sole discretion, elect to issue a goodwill refund — typically in cases of technical defect, double-charge, or non-delivery. The full procedure and the categories under which we issue goodwill refunds are set out in our Support Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in this Section excludes or limits any non-waivable statutory consumer right you may have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
6. Licence Delivery
After Tazapay confirms your card payment and Joytify confirms the Stars allocation, your Pro licence key and activation instructions are delivered to the email address you provided at checkout — typically within 5–20 minutes. If you do not receive the email within 30 minutes (please check spam folders), contact hello@ultrawider.net.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service is distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store and is subject to Google's policies in addition to these Terms. The Service operates on top of YouTube, a third-party platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube, and they may at any time make changes that affect compatibility.
8. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content, are and remain the property of Akimov Pavel Andreevich or his licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right in our trademarks or brand assets.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that it will work on every video, monitor, or YouTube layout.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we, our affiliates, or our suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would be unlawful or impractical. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. For material changes that affect paying users we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance (for example, by email or via the extension). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the user's country of residence to the extent that mandatory consumer-protection laws of that country apply. Where no such mandatory law applies, the laws of the Russian Federation apply. The parties will resolve disputes in good faith and, failing that, before a court of competent jurisdiction.
